HOW CUSTOM PORTRAITS ARE MADE:

1. Email hello@smartandco.ca with your address and reference photos, as well as any details you want included.

2. I'll get back in touch with a time estimate! House portraits generally take 2-3 weeks from start to finish, but I'm happy to work with you to meet a deadline.

3. I require a 50% deposit up front before I start any work. Once I have a deposit, I'll start by creating a pencil sketch and send it your way for approval. You'll have the opportunity to look over the overall layout and request any necessary changes.

4. I get painting!!! Then I scan the painting into the computer and do minor Photoshop touch-ups and colour adjustments to best match the reference photos. I'll send over a watermarked pdf for final approval before printing.

5. Once the rest of payment is received, I print and mail your artwork. Paintings are printed as giclée prints on coldpress textured 310gsm paper. They're packaged in archival quality plastic sleeves with protective backing boards and mailed through Canada Post (note: I can arrange free drop-off/pick up in the GTA or express tracked shipping for an extra fee).
